Chamber joins forces with three agencies

MONTGOMERY -- The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce's Workforce Development staff has developed a specialized training program.

The program is a partnership with three local entities: J.F. Ingram State Technical College, Alabama Department of Corrections and Trenholm State Technical College.

The program will supply candidates being discharged from the Department of Corrections to a specialized Class B CDL driver training course at Trenholm specifically designed to meet the needs of commercial waste disposal and construction companies in the area.

Inmates who qualify for the program would receive specialized job skills training prior to driver training and would provide drivers needed in the Montgomery area.
