Copperwing Design wins award of merit

MONTGOMERY - Local agency Copperwing Design has been named an Award of Merit winner by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

The winning ad campaign, "Celebrate Hyundai," marked the grand opening of Hyundai's first United States manufacturing plant, located in Montgomery. The campaign was for the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce.

"The grand opening of Hyundai's first U.S. manufacturing facility was such an exciting time in Montgomery, we absolutely had to broadcast the excitement," said Wendi Lewis, communications director for the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. "The 'Celebrate Hyundai' ad campaign created by Copperwing really captured the enthusiasm that we were feeling, and that so many people in Montgomery were feeling. We're thrilled that the ACCE chose to honor the campaign with its ACE Award of Merit."

"We are very excited to receive this recognition for our work," said Angela Stiff, creative director and principal of Copperwing Design. "We especially appreciate the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce giving us the opportunity to work on this campaign, and then submitting our work for this award."

The award was given as part of the ACCE's Awards for Communications Excellence, which is intended to recognize the achievements of outstanding communications, programs, campaigns and projects conducted by its member chambers. This year's ACE program drew 280 entries from more than 100 chambers throughout the world.
