Balch & Bingham partner will lead lawyers' group
BIRMINGHAM. - The Alabama Defense Lawyers of America (ADLA) has
elected Bruce Barze, a partner at Balch & Bingham LLP, as president-elect.
The ADLA has more than 1,200 attorney members dedicated to the defense
of civil actions and the promotion of fairness and integrity in
the civil justice system.
Barze joined the ADLA in 1999. He has served on the board of directors
and as secretary/treasurer. The ADLA restricts its membership to
attorneys licensed in the state of Alabama who devote more than
half of their civil practice to the defense, or are house counsel
for insurance carriers or corporations.
After receiving a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University,
Barze earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law,
where he graduated summa cum laude. He joined Balch & Bingham
in 1992 where he has practiced in environmental litigation and business
litigation practice group.
