ABA grants approval for Faulkner University's
law school
Faulkner University announced that the American Bar Association
granted provisional approval to Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.
Students at the school of law are now entitled to the same recognition
given to students and graduates of fully approved law schools and
permits them to take the bar examination and practice in every state.
"This is a major step forward in the life of the law school,"
said dean Charles Nelson. "It is a recognition of the quality
of our program of education and our ability to graduate lawyers
who make substantial contributions to the bench and bar."
The American Bar Association gives a provisionally approved law
school two to five years to bring its legal education program into
full compliance with the standards. A new law school must be provisionally
approved before it can be reviewed for full approval.
