Synovus Named to Business Ethics '100 Best Corporate
Citizens of 2006'
MONTGOMERY - Synovus has been named to the "100 Best Corporate
Citizens of 2006" list by Business Ethics magazine.
The Columbus, Ga.-based diversified financial services company is
the parent company of Montgomery-based Sterling Bank, which has
locations in Montgomery and Prattville.

The ranking, in its seventh year, is compiled by KLD Research &
Analytics Inc., an independent research firm based in Boston. KLD's
ranking is based on its survey of more than 1,100 firms.
The top 100 companies are chosen based on average scores form eight
stakeholder categories: shareholder value, community giving, corporate
ethics, diversity efforts, job opportunities for employees, environmental
impact, human rights and product development.
